Funding has been awarded to Whitstable Volunteer Centre by Canterbury City Council to encourage young people to volunteer.

The Centre, in conjunction with the Horsebridge Arts Centre, has recruited volunteers to take part in the pantomime horse race run by the Whitstable Rotary in June.

The volunteers will take complete responsibility for this project including designing and building the horse, finding sponsorship and actually taking part in the race on the day.
